How to develop applications for the Google Android OS

Recently I started exploring the Google Android OS for mobile phones. It is quite an interesting OS and a joy to develop for. I have written this tutorial which shows you how you can write a simple Tip Calculator application for your Google Android powered phone.

Why not post blogs on your own site?

:D

amit, I want to keep my software related site separate than my personal site. I found that Blogger has the easiest way to set up a 'guest book' where readers can leave comments.

I have not experimented with the tool you mention. I would look for suggestions and help on the android developers list.

Nicely done, but is there an easy way to print out the tutorial for off-line reading? Please consider offering that functionality.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the tip calculator tutorial. This was the perfect bridge between the simple "Hello Android" demo and more advanced apps, and you walked through it very clearly and thoroughly. I now have a good handle on basic input/output functionality on the Android OS and have you to thank for it. So... thanks!
